About
Eldervik is a cozy farming game about village life.
Eldervik is built around a simple idea: a cozy farming game you can play slowly, together, and where not everyone has to chase the same goal at the same speed.
The game is set in a quiet village. Instead of chasing coins, players build trust through barter: firewood for seed, fresh crops for supplies.
Co-op is not an afterthought here. I especially wanted Eldervik to work well for kids and parents playing together, not a game where the younger player is just dragged along, and not one where experimenting can ruin everything. Local co-op is a big part of that, because sitting next to each other changes the whole feeling of playing together. Multiplayer is also planned, so families and friends can share a village even when they are not on the same couch.
My own kids are part of the design process in the most practical way. They play, react, and immediately find the parts that are confusing, too slow, or unexpectedly fun. That feedback shapes the game more than anything else.
Eldervik is currently in development, with PC planned as the first platform.
